Publication Ethics – IJEEE Ethical Guidelines
Publication Ethics – IJEEE Ethical Guidelines
At the International Journal of Electrical Engineering and Ethics (IJEEE), we uphold the highest standards of research publication integrity. Every author, reviewer, and editor is expected to follow strict ethical practices to ensure transparency, originality, and accountability in the publication process.

1. Author Responsibilities
- Submitted work must be original, unpublished, and free from plagiarism.
- Authors must disclose conflicts of interest or funding sources.
- Multiple submissions to other journals simultaneously are strictly prohibited.
- Research involving human or animal subjects must comply with ethical standards.
- Authors should provide raw data when requested by reviewers or the editorial board.
2. Peer Review and Reviewer Responsibilities
The peer review ethics at IJEEE are double-blind and confidential. Reviewers are expected to:
- Evaluate submissions fairly and objectively, without bias.
- Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript and associated data.
- Avoid any conflict of interest or competing professional advantage.
- Offer constructive feedback to improve the manuscript’s quality and clarity.
3. Editor’s Role in Upholding Publication Ethics
Our editors ensure that ethical guidelines for engineering journals are enforced rigorously. They:
- Make unbiased publication decisions based on manuscript merit.
- Investigate ethical concerns such as data manipulation, plagiarism, or author misconduct.
- Retain editorial transparency and offer authors the opportunity to respond.
- Adhere to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
4. Plagiarism Policy and Misconduct Handling
IJEEE maintains a zero-tolerance policy on plagiarism. All manuscripts are screened using advanced tools before peer review. If plagiarism or unethical conduct is detected:
- The manuscript will be immediately rejected.
- In severe cases, authors may be blacklisted from future submissions.
- Institutions may be informed based on the severity of ethical breach.
Committed to Ethical Publishing
IJEEE is committed to ethical, peer-reviewed, and fast publication in engineering research. Authors are encouraged to read our Author Instructions and Review Process pages before submission.
